We had a number of visitors during the month of February and thoroughly enjoyed our time with them all (pictures below). We start, though, with a few items of interest from the past month or so.
A carabao ("Philippine tractor") taking a break
A weary hiker taking a break
This cute little baby just stared and stared
Recent shot of the two of us
The next three pictures are of the progressive growth of a bromeliad in our yard.
A lizard we spotted in our yard
Lots of egg choices at the market
Our first set of visitors were Gary and Marsha Boverhof from Edgerton, MN and Michelle Meinders from Pella, IA. We know them well from when Rev. Kleyn was pastor in Edgerton. It was great to catch up with them and to show them around.

Our visitors traveled with us on our monthly visit to Negros Occidental. We flew out on Saturday morning (Feb. 15) and returned late on Monday night.
As we flew south of Manila, we spotted the Taal Volcano that recently erupted. The volcano is in the center of the lake. It used to have a good sized lake inside the crater, but the eruption has caused it to evaporate.
A brief stop along the west coast of Negros Occidental
as we traveled by car from Bacolod City to Sipalay
We worshiped on Sunday morning in the Reformed Free Church
in Inayauan where Pastor Ezequias Rosal is the minister
On Sunday afternoon, Rev. Kleyn taught a class here in the Reformed Church
in Canturay where Pastor Ariel Labrador is the minister
Two sets of twins in Southern Negros Occidental
Three sets of twins in Manila
(in Provident PRC in Marikina)
Our second set of visitors were Prof. & Carol Dykstra and Rev. Koole. They stayed with us for a few days after our previous visitors left (good timing). These men came as representatives of the Contact Committee of the PRCA in order to visit with the PRCP and to attend the Classis meeting of the PRCP.
A cup of coffee and a chat

Elder Yoon Chuan, from the Covenant Evangelical Reformed Church in Singapore, was also here for the Classis meeting of the PRCP. He came to our home one afternoon and we took a walk to "second floor" (the lookout from our neighborhood).

And a visit to the Philippines would be incomplete
without a good Manila traffic experience :-)
We thank the visitors and delegates for coming here to visit the churches, their fellow saints, and the missionary families. We enjoyed and were encouraged by their visits as we strive to carry out our labors in the kingdom of Christ here in the Philippines.
